Andrada Chiriac

b. 30.11.1999

Born in 1985, she graduated from the Theatre Faculty, department for Scenography (class of Prof. Ştefania Cenean) within the National University of Theatre and Cinematography of Bucharest, in 2008. She has an M.A. degree (2010) and a PhD degree (2013) in film scenography under the coordination of Prof. Gheorghe Bălăşoiu. She collaborated, as an assistant, with the scenographers: Ştefania Cenean, Dragoş Buhagiar, Helmut Stürmer, Andrew Riley.

Theatre scenography (selection): 2009 – Vladimir Square by Ludmila Razumovskaia, directed by: Petru Hadârcă, Nottara Theatre; 2011 – Coming Clean by Petr Zelenka, directed by Alexandru Mâzgăreanu – NTB; 2013 – The Government Inspector by Gogol, directed by Felix Alexa – NTB; Dead Souls by Gogol, directed by Alexandru Dabija – „Toma Caragiu” Theatre of Ploieşti; 2014 – A Marriage Proposal by Chekhov, directed by Felix Alexa – „Fani Tardini” Theatre Galaţi – Nomination for „Best Scenographer” at the UNITER Awards Gala 2015; The Powder Keg by Dejan Dukovski, directed by Felix Alexa – NTB; 2015 – Terrorism by the Presniakov Brothers, directed by Felix Alexa – NTB; Svejk after Jaroslav Hašek, directed by Alexandru Dabija – Odeon Theatre, The Lourcine Street Affair by Labiche, directed by Felix Alexa - NTB. She signed the stage set for Two Worlds Hotel by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, directed by Alice Barb at the Small Theatre (2009) and costumes for the shows of Alexander Morfov at NTB: The Visit by F. Dürrenmatt (2011); The Tempest by Shakespeare, (2014); No Man’s Land by Danis Tanović, (2016).

Film scenography: Oxygen, directed by: Adina Pintilie, (2006); Love building, directed by: Iulia Rugină, (2012), Another Love Building, directed by Iulia Rugină, (2014).
