In our society, in plays, in television series, in shows, there is more and more talk about modern marriage and about the freedom to have partners outside of marriage, still remaining in the relationship of husband / wife or even about saving the couple from separation, by maintaining a fugitive extramarital relationship of both spouses. "All the couples who tried failed miserably." In the end, it turns out that it is not a solution to save the marriage, but a path to losing the couple.

"Divorce of the Year" is a play adapted by the great actor Ion Lucian himself, after an idea of ​​a famous film during the '70s.

The play tackles in a comic and ironic way with dramatic highlights the husband-wife relationship, of some people who are heading towards the "third youth" and who are caught in the whirlwind of "the hypocrisy of modern conveniences".
