Show not recommended for minors aged under 14; licentious language

The show proposed by director Teodora Petre, Mariano Tenconi Blanco's Extraordinary Life, is a story told with honesty, full of candour and emotion, told in touches of truth and sensitivity. Two lives, two stories that complement each other in their confessions, constructing through intertwining the fragile face of femininity in a world frozen in concepts of feminism. A vivid picture, built from attention to detail, shadows and lights, completes in the concept of scenographer Ioana Pashca this tempting world through truth and genuine emotions. Actresses Aida Economu and Mihaela Velicu plunge into time, relive the ages, compose and decompose the states and events of life.

In Extraordinary Life we travel through Evita Perón's Argentina, somewhere far away, at the end of the world, in a seaside village, where two little girls discover at the age of 5 that if they look at the moon together holding hands, they become witnesses of the greatest miracle. The miracle of life.

"I firmly believe that we humans are not made to live alone. We are made to share the miracle of life with those around us. I am you; you are me. The encounter between Aurora and Blanca allows them to soar into the world. To suffer and rejoice knowing that there is always a witness who can help them find their way home, to their village and their world in Ushuaia, a place of recovery and hope after each lost battle, but also of the path to each other.”  Teodora Petre, director

“The swirl of experiences and the incandescence of thoughts and dialogues fill the space and accumulate tensions, pulsating cursively and often naturally between dreaming, resignation and despair. The pathos breaks, like the wave of the ocean shore, in a kind of wisdom of helplessness, of pink hymns like rose sorbet, of failure that is brackish, but does not give up.”

Bogdan Burileanu, LiterNet.ro – Vivre pour vivre… - Extraordinary Life

“Director Teodora Petre has created an expressive, intelligent and sensitive show. The two actresses, Aida Economu (Aurora) and Mihaela Velicu (Blanca) give a real acting tour de force in which they explore the full range of human emotions and thoughts (...) An original contemporary play that blends poetry with philosophy, humour with passion, science and melodrama, with many clever lines and moments that will make you think or smile.”

Alexandra Ares, LiterNet.ro – Argentine drama at NTB

“On stage, Aida Economu and Mihaela Velicu complement and merge in a story set against the backdrop of the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia, a town in Tierra del Fuego (...) From their tears and laughter, a bittersweet story unfolds in front of us, which we will applaud with roars, as we did at the preview I attended.”

Horia Ghibuțiu, Zile și Nopți – Signs of “ExtraordinaryLife” at NTB
