In the Romanian theatrical landscape, Freak Show has become a landmark, a cult performance.

Between 2014 and 2021, Freak Show was invited to important festivals in the country (Timisoara, Sibiu, Cluj, Iasi, Arad, Alexandria, Sfântu Gheorghe, Piatra Neamț, Alba Iulia, Brasov, Bacău) and also travelled abroad (London, Brussels, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Toulouse, Koln).

Freak Show vol. 2 is by no means a "follow-up" to the one-man-show Piersic jr. has been playing for nine years. Both shows are conceptually constructed as a suite of monologues. Each monologue portrays a different character. The basic essence is comedy, but the tragic element often creeps into Piersic jr.'s stories.

Based on a script written by Florin Piersic jr, and directed and performed by him, Freak Show vol. 2 is the show that aims not to allow the audience to lower their eyes to their smart-phone. (The theatre actor's battle with the devices of the modern world has meanwhile become fierce.)

One-Man-Show: Florin Piersic Jr.

A smart comedy that wins over audiences unequivocally.

Oltița Cîntec, Agenda Liternet - 5 lines review - Florin Piersic Jr. or the unequivocal talent - Freak Show vol. 2 at FITS, 2021

Apparently what he does is terribly simple, he just utters some thoughts of people in particular situations, people who correspond to some extent to our pre-judgments of how they should talk and be, it seems that anyone can write and utter this. I tried to imagine someone else doing the same thing, with the same stories. I couldn't.

Răzvan Penescu, Agenda Liternet – This is the end, sugar baby love - Freak Show vol. 2

If in Freak Show vol. 1, set in the pre-pandemic reality, hope was not left without oxygen, and the characters still had resources of gentleness, sweet naivety and even poetry, in the post-pandemic world illustrated by Freak Show vol. 2, evil is pervasive and brings out all the dark areas of the characters, more than ever before.

Ioana Clara Enescu, Agenda Liternet - The show will go on - Freak Show vol. 2

"Written with talent, performed with great grace, his monologues, little gems, little pearly pearls, are strung one after the other in a necklace of an absolutely remarkable acting performance."

Paul Rogojinaru, Gândul - An all-out performance with Florin Piersic Jr. on the stage of the Caracal Theatre. Eight characters, one actor, in "Freak Show 2"
