"Komorebi". The light filtering through the trees" is the initiatory journey of a man in battle with Fear. It is a story shrouded in love, humor and courage about deconstructed trauma, love and acceptance. What does it mean to be a "real man" today? A timely dissection of the journey to self and the impact of discovering the true face hidden beneath fabricated masks.

Performance presented in co-production with the Vanner Collective Association. A project funded by AFCN.

A performance presented within the Tnb.Edu Program.

"In this landscape in which men deserve nothing but contempt and scorn, a lucid and well-articulated performance in both the scenic and social discourse is more than a glimpse of normality (...)

"Komorebi". The light filtering through the trees" seems a hard title to remember for a play. And it has little to do with the subject matter itself. The beauty of the metaphor of this untranslatable Japanese word, this almost kinesthetic state of grace that such a richly stimulating image evokes, is very similar, however, to the proposal that this beautiful and moving performance makes to the audience: to think for one evening, at least, at a theatre performance, about the fears of the man next to us; that is, about our fears, all of ours."
