One-man-show with Florin Piersic Jr., Hosted by the I.L. Caragiale National Theatre of Bucharest

Florin Piersic Jr returns to the NTB stage in the performance Freak Show!

Freak Show - Unique in Romania, 13 characters, a single actor.

The audience's interest in Freak Show proves once again that the 13 successfully performed characters  in this one man show are not mere samples of theatrical experiment or directorial design, but true examples of creativity bearing the mark of actor and director Florin Piersic Jr., attracting and enchanting the audience through acting versatility, fine blend of humour, sensitivity and even cynicism.

Produced after a material written by Florin Piersic Jr, acting as director and performer, Freak Show is a unique one-man-show in Romania, a dynamic show, thus conceived to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, for two hours. The ones present shall have the occasion to watch the chameleonic evolution of a single actor who continuously turns into another character, in a hallucinating succession. Nouveau riche, building site worker, banker, pensioner, film producer or professor – these are only a few of the 13 characters whom Florin Piersic Jr brings into the spotlight.

The absolute premiere of the show took place on 7 December 2013.

In 2014, Freak Show participated as a guest show in the International Theatre Festival (Sibiu), the New Theatre Festival (Arad –Classical Theatre), the Star Gala (Bacău), the FESTCO Gala (Bucharest – Special Jury Prize, Off section), the Ideo Ideis Festival (Alexandria), The Gura Humorului Days (Gura Humorului), Butterfly Effect Festival (Galați).

Freak Show has been successfully presented to the Romanian audience from Germany (Cologne), Canada (Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal), Belgium (Brussels – Bozar Cultural Centre), France (Toulouse – Theatre de la Comedie), Great Britain (London - Leicester Square Theatre) and has raised long cheers from the spectators who filled the hall of the National Opera of Timișoara and the National Opera of Cluj Napoca.
