Celebrations of The Spirit is a project that gathers on the same stage, for the first time in the world, Teodora Enache-Aisha, one of the most appreciated voices of Romania, and the exceptional American bass player Benny Rietveld with his Quintet.

An NTB event / Paratheatrical – Music and Green Hours Itinerant, with the support of the United States Embassy in Romania.

Traditional Romanian music, standard jazz and the original works of the two protagonists, in the artistic view and musical direction of Benny Rietveld.

Teodora Enache - Aisha

• rated as one of the best Romanian jazz singers with a career in music of over 20 years, held concerts with world-renowned musicians such as Curtis Fuller, Les Paul, Stanley Jordan, Lars Danielsson, Xavier Desandre Navarre, Ricardo Scale, Darius Brubeck, Johnny Răducanu, Burton Greene or Theodosii Spassov, in Romania, USA, Canada and all over Europe.

• winner of the Excellency Award for the most important international contribution of a Romanian jazz musician given by the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company.

• 2013 (a year of concerts ended by Teodora with a tour in Germany and Romania along with Syanley Jordan) brought her the meeting with Benny Rietveld – one of the most prolific bass players of the modern international music culture, having won many awards, as Miles Davis' former bass player and Carlos Santana's present bass player and music director – meeting that put the grounds of today's collaboration.

Benny Rietveld

- renowned musician, music film composer and music producer, holder of many Grammy Awards, as Carlos Santana's bass player and music director, he performed and recorded along with Miles Davis, Michel Legrand, Marilyn Mazur, Sheila E., John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton and so on.

- the Quintet he will introduce to Romania has excellent musicians such as Manu Koch, active on the New York jazz stage, the fickle saxophonist Allen Won, the percussionist Ray Yslas (he collaborated, amongst many, with Chris Isaak and Luz Casal) and the young violist Ren Martin-Doike, a revelation on the American music stage.
