Alexandra Ușurelu Symphonic at NTB
Alexandra Ușurelu returns with a new symphonic concert to the Grand Hall of the National Theatre of Bucharest on 30 January 2017.
Her warm voice, clean and gentle, singing with special delicacy about people and emotions, not about objects and events. This is Alexandra Ușurelu, the indie artist not looking for promotion anywhere and at any cost, who knew artistic success holding over 350 concerts in Bucharest and throughout the country 3 years ago, in front of an audience preferring to choose music and follow its favourite artists in the concert halls.
In January 2016, the press called her concert Symphonic Pure, performed to a full house in the Grand Hall of the National Theatre of Bucharest: ”A concert like an embrace. A complete show, where multiple artistic languages articulate in order to round up a clear thought directed towards the public: ”Pure” is built on the coordinates of the soul. A concept-show, refined and round, thought into the smallest details in order to turn to account Alexandra’s velvet voice”. Anca Maria Pănoiu.
Available now in DVD & Blu-ray format, the concert Symphonic Pure has set new standards in the show production of independent artists.
On 30 January 2017, Alexandra Ușurelu shall present, alongside her orchestra on the stage of the prestigious National Theatre of Bucharest, in a spectacular scenery, 6 songs from her second album to be launched next year, but also her most successful songs on her debut album, At the End of the World, one of Romania’s best sold indie albums, rewarded as Best Album of the Year 2015 only 3 months after its launch.
The tickets to the symphonic show on 30 January 2017 are available in the networks eventim.ro, iabilet.ro, bilete.ro and at the National Theatre box office; we recommend buying tickets well beforehand!
Alexandra celebrated her debut in 2011 on the stage of the Odeon Theatre of Bucharest, within the Woman Matters Gala, where she caught the eye of Andreea Marin and later developed beautiful collaborations in the national tours Out of Love for Women and Treasure Life.
She worked with prestigious names from the Romanian music, Mircea Vintilă (for the song Something is Happening to Us), the group Vunk (for the duet Nights are Passing (Only Dreams Remain), which became in 2013 the soundtrack of the TV series Lost Angels, produced by Media PRO Pictures), Mircea Rusu (the song Two Strangers), Walter Dionisie (The Right Price, Never Two), composer and pianist Bobby Stoica (producer of her first first album), but also from the international music, more notable the collaboration with Tongam Sirait or with Mariano Castro, the Argentine composer and pianist of the successful international group Narcotango, double nominee of the Latin Grammy Awards.
At the invitation of the National Television, Alexandra represented Romania at the Turkcevizyon International Music Festival in September 2013. Her love for children determines her to launch in 2011 the charity project Gift for Children, but also to get involved as an ambassador in the humanitarian cause Europa FM – You are not alone. Besides, in 2013, 2014 and 2016, she is part of the jury for the Talent Show children contest, organised by the Olga Gudynn International School.
In spring 2015, she goes on the marathon tour Around the World, in theatre halls from 24 cities, in the opening of the Vunk group, which enables her to see Romania otherwise, and impressed by the massive illegal deforestations in the country, she engages in the national forestation campaign, We Plant Good Deeds in Romania, aiming at planting 1.000.000 seedlings in a single day. For supporting the campaign, she launches the video The Fair Price.
Alexandra Ușurelu is, above all, the person who loves contemplating and admiring people and the world instead of being looked at and despite that, each appearance of hers turns any concert venue into a magical place.
