Artists for Artists
UNITER launches the twelfth edition of the annual National Campaign "Artists for Artists", the 2013 edition, a unique event based on the category of beneficiaries that it addresses. Held around March 27 - the International Day of Theatre, the campaign became for UNITER, for the past 11 editions, not only a celebration of the impressive theatrical universe, but also, the praise of artists who rebuilt year by year, along their lifetime, the magic of theatre.
2002 was a success for the attempt to be socially responsible, to correct through art the system's deficiencies. With each edition we gained confidence that just by increasing the public's and the theatrical environment's awareness on the social situation of older artists with health problems, we can build through culture a valid and genuine social solidarity campaign with concrete results.
This year's edition will benefit again from the participation of theatres from the country that will play a show from their repertoire in the name of this campaign. The theatres from Bucharest will be selling tickets for this Campaign for a representation dedicated to it. There will also be a charity representation, specially produced by UNITER. The money collected from the ticket sales is directed to the fund specially created for this: the Theatre Solidarity Fund. Account: RO40RZBR0000060007801286, opened at Raiffeisen Bank, the Piaţa Amzei agency.
The charity show held this year by UNITER, with the title Moments of life, takes place on Monday, March 25, at 19.00, at the Great Hall of the National Theatre Bucharest.
