Don is a young man who has lived in a cocoon all his life, not allowed by his mother to take flight. Yet he's making fun of trouble. After a month of living alone in an apartment in San Francisco, a girl moves in next door who wants to one day live a whole life. Jill has a colorful past and wants a funeral like Disneyland.

After a night of fireworks their story gets complicated when Florence Baker sneaks through the door. Don's mother, a renowned children's author, is an elegant, imposing and sophisticated woman who doesn't approve of his new lifestyle.

Why does Jill's fear take hold and use Ralph as an excuse not to get involved in a real relationship? And how does director Ralph Santori become the sparkling wine of the performance? Find out in this new take on the classic "Butterflies Are Free".

The performance "Butterflies are Free" was selected at Bucharest Fringe - Independent Theater Marathon 2023 and at Comic 7B Festival - 8th edition - 2023, where Valentin Andries won the Special Jury Award for male performance for the role of Don Baker.
