The NTB Christmas Magic – Emy Dragoi & Grand Orchestra

Approaching the end of the year, the Bucharest audience is invited to a musical journey into the magical Christmas world, in the Grand Hall of the National Theatre of Bucharest, on Sunday, December 23^rd, from 8.00 p.m.

A wonderful occasion to celebrate and spend the very special moments preceding Christmas and New Year, in a concert-show having Emy Dragoi as master of ceremony. „The show is addressed to music lovers of all ages.”

The chosen repertoire merges some of the most valuable musical creations dedicated to Christmas. Adding the diversity of rhythms - from jazz to gospel, from pieces which made history in terms of improvisations and mastery – through the content of the entire show and the chosen special effects, the creators of the show Christmas Jazz hope to render, on a profoundly original stave, the grandeur, thrill and holiday atmosphere brought to Romania by Dutch violinist, conductor and composer André  Rieu and his orchestra.

The show takes place under the artistic direction of Emy Dragoi, considered the best jazz accordionist of the moment. A few years ago, he was declared „Artist of the year” for jazz in France, the country where he completed his musical studies and which would designate him the king of accordion jazz.

He shall be joined on stage by Grand Orchestra - an orchestra gathering valuable instrumentalists - 20 violinists, piano, percussion, bass, guitar etc, Alls’choir – a choir composed of soloists of the Romanian Opera of Bucharest, but also Magic Violin. Over 50 de musicians, in a show of an undisputable artistic value. Further performers within the show: Maestro Ion Caramitru – the host of the show, actress Medeea Marinescu – in a lesser known posture, that of gospel music performer, the popular pop music singer, Nico and another special guest with the gift of lifting your spirits, the unmatched Toni Grecu.
