Flamenco evening at NTB
The Cervantes Institute from Bucharest and
the "I.L. Caragiale" National Theatre from Bucharest present at the
NTB's Great Hall, the flamenco dance
show "Abriendo Caminos" performed by the company Úrsula López (Spain),
on May 14, 2013, at 20:00.
Abriendo
Caminos performed by the company Úrsula López is a highly authentic
flamenco show, which combines the impeccable technique of the artists on the
stage: Úrsula López and Cristian Lozano - dance, Javier
Patino - guitar, Vicente Gelo - voice and Raúl
Domínguez - percussion - with strength, passion and knowledge of the
most profound flamenco dance.
Dancer formed in the high school of the Andalusian Dance Company and in the
National Ballet of Spain, Úrsula López
is one of those artists who preserve their personality both in collaboration
with major artists such as Carlos Saura, Maria Pages or Antonio Gades and in
her own productions. In the show Abriendo Caminos, for which she made
the choreography, we are faced with a proposal of great elegance in setting,
composed of high technical and artistic quality parts, which rely on the almost
dream-like music of the guitarist Javier Patino.
A show that keeps the classic scenic structure (two dancers, three musicians)
and presents all the important styles of flamenco dance (seguiriyas, fandangos, romance, farruca, tangos). As the title
says, the show abre Caminos / opens roads
and allows both connoisseurs and those at the first meeting with a show of this
kind, to be seduced by the power and beauty condensed in the flamenco culture,
an immaterial UNESCO heritage.
Tickets are on sale at the National Theatre's Ticket Agency (open from Tuesday
to Sunday between 10.00-19.00) and on Bilet.ro.
Ticket price: 60, 50 and 20 lei
