Performance in Romanian with English translation

Furniture and Grief is a comedy by the Romanian playwright Teodor Mazilu, author of plays and television sketches, directed by Cristian Ban. The show tackles a topical subject of people getting rich overnight, lacking aspirations, who take refuge in petty desires, thoughts of revenge, and acquire minor and useless things.

We expect the audience to see a performance about working and loving in Romania in the 70s. For some, it may be a nostalgic comedy and for others, a fresh performance in which we look back with humor and distance. Either way, the actors are admirable and deserve to be seen for the way they have risen to the challenge.
