The ARTwise National Tour Reaches NTB
After the success from the National Theatre of Iaşi (grand hall), the Bacovia Theatre of Bacău and the Elisabeta Theatre of Bucharest, the ARTwise national tour reaches NTB and proposes an unusual theatre show as a premiere: I Do Not Matter!
The stop at the Bucharest National Theatre is intended to be a gala show before the Tour pursues in spring the journey throughout the country. The purpose of the Tour is to bring back to the foreground the authentic Romanian culture.
The play, written by a young Romanian playwright, has gathered remarkable critiques. Over 1200 spectators and theatre critics were surprised by the involvement of some of the best Romanian actors in a new private project, but also by a bold script blending dramatic tension specific for the theatre with the lyricism of live classical and folk music.
In the cast:
Marian Râlea, holder of the UNITER Prize for best actor, shall play the leading role Judas. The cast is completed by actors with major roles on stages such as NTB, Odeon, the Masca Theatre, etc., established actors such as Anamaria Pîslaru, Sorin Dinculescu and Relu Poalelungi and young actors: Antonio Tadeusz Mincă, Beatrice Rubică, Altan Safta Zecheria, Georgiana Vrațiu and Ştefan Opreanu.
The show brings a surprise: the live soundtrack (Narcisa Băleanu, pan-pipe – folk music), with the extraordinary involvement of a prominent member of the „George Enescu” Philharmonics: Adrian Petrescu, in his capacity as musical director.
The tickets for the show on 13 March 2017 from 7.00 p.m. are available at the NTB box office, on www.tnb.ro/ro/eu-nu-contez or on www.mystage.ro.
The ARTwise National Tour commenced in 2016 at the Athenaeum of Bacău with a modern symphonic concert, has continued with the launch of the „Nice Trilogy”, with the premieres at the Elisabeta Theatre and shall continue in 2017 in the main Romanian cities, and the general public shall have the opportunity to witness theatre shows, symphonic concerts and book launches.
