Launch of "Stupid Tropics" by Florin Bican, at Librarium NTB
On Friday, 16th February 2018, from 7.00 p.m., Librarium NTB shall host the launching event Stupid Tropics by Florin Bican.
In the foyer of the Grand Hall of the “I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre (wardrobe zone), Florin Bican alongside Radu Paraschivescu and Gabriel Cărtărescu are proposing to the audience a journey to the … Stupid Tropics.
Children, big and small, are expected in order to take part in the jungle adventures captured in the book published at Arthur Publishing.
Come on Friday, 16th February, to Librarium NTB, to discover together the adventures woven in the „Stupid Tropics”: „It is an ordinary day. The Big Bang horologe strikes randomly, like a remote echo of the beginnings of the world. We are in England, in Great Britain, but the country’s name does not matter much – how could it matter, when the maps are filled with names of countries, cities, villages, rivers and streams, seas and oceans. For a poor explorer, like Stanley, our hero, there is nothing left to explore. The post lady Cristinel, who rings his door bell precisely at tea time, is more exploratory than he is: she wanders halfway around the globe with urgent telegrams, taken to the destination with the speed of the balloon.”
