For the lovers of classical dance, the artistic year 2019 in Romania commences with an irresistible event: the most famous ballet of all times, performed by an emblematic company of the legendary Russian-Ukrainian ballet school.

In November / December 2019, the National Theatre of Bucharest, the Romanian National Opera in Timisoara, Iasi, Cluj and other cities of Romania, the artists of the Municipal Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kiev, reunited in the most valuable choreographic formula of the institution, will perform Swan Lake and The Nutcracker on Piotr Ilici Tchaikovsky's music.

The performances are created by choreographer Valerii Kovtun, after the classical choreography of Marius Petipa. Luxurious, the production features about 40 ballet dancers in spectacular costumes. The soloists of the show will be the first ballet dancers Olga Golitsa, Oxana Bondarenko (Odette / Odile) and Denis Nedak, Fedir Zarodyschev (Siegfried).

Olga Golitsa graduated from the choreographic college in the capital of Ukraine, becoming, thanks to the talent, the mastery, the expressiveness of her performances, which immediately conquered the confidence of colleagues and choreographers, the first soloist of the Ukrainian National Opera "T. Schevchenko '' in Kiev. With an impressive portfolio of lead roles, she danced in extensive tours in Japan, England, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, USA. "It is a privilege to dance in Timişoara, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi, the reputation of the cultural cities and its audience is well-known to me, and Swan Lake is one of the most wonderful performances and the role that I always dance with pleasure and emotion," the artist confessed.

Denis Nedak, first soloist of the National Opera of the Ukraine "Taras Shevchenko" in Kiev, opera singer of the Vienna Opera. His career debut took place at the National Opera, the artist being the winner of the prestigious S.Lifar International Contest, 2002 and 2004.

First soloist of the National Opera in Kiev. Since 2015, he is guest soloist to the American Ballet Theatre and the Vienna State Opera. Born in Odessa. He graduated from the Odessa State Choreography School in 2002. He graduated from the Dance Academy Sergei Lifar in Kiev in 2003.

During the Academy, he was invited to dance at the National Opera in Kiev, where he performed Romeo's role in Romeo and Juliet and the Prince role in The Nutcracker.

After graduation, Denis Nedak joined the National Ballet of Ukraine and in 2008 he became a soloist.

His repertoire includes: Solor in ''La Bayadère'', Basil in ''Don Quixote'', the Prince in ''Sleeping Beauty'', Prince Siegfried in The Swan Lake, Albrecht in ''Giselle'', Jose and Escamilio in ''Carmen'', Jean de Brienne in ''Raymonda'', Conrad in ''Le Corsaire'', the Prince in ''The Nutcracker'' and Krass in ''Spartacus''.

He participates in numerous international festivals and is regularly invited at the Nureyev Festival in Kazan, Russia. In 2014, Nedak made his debut with ABT Dancing as Solor in La Bayadère. His repertoire with the Company includes also Prince Désiré in "Sleeping Beauty."

He danced worldwide in Russia, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, France, England, Australia.

Famous worldwide, the ballet ensemble of the Kiev Municipal Theatre was founded in 1980 by the famous choreographer of the former USSR, Vahtang Vronskii. It was then called the Classical Ballet of Kiev, and between 1989 and 2005, the ensemble was led by the great master of Ukrainian ballet Valerii Covtun (1944-2005 ), winner of the Vatlav Nejinsky Award of the French Academy of Dance, artist of the people in the USSR. From 2005 to 2012, the ballet master of the corps was Victor Litvinov.A

Since 2012, the artistic director of the Kiev Municipal Ballet is Tatyana Borovik, former first ballerina of the National Opera in Kyiv. In 1990, the Kiev Classical Ballet participated in the greatest dance festival in India and in 1991, it took the stage of the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest.
