When the same stage becomes the site of a vast musical journey, taking the audience under the spell of the immortal waltz, café concert music, symphonic chords, the unique tonalities of jazz and jazz manouche, and poetic cadence, then surely this place can only be one of musical magic!

And when the journey unfolds under the dome of the Bucharest National Theatre, accompanied at every step by the grace and mastery of artists such as accordionist Emy Drăgoi and the Grand Orchestra, composer Eugen Doga and actor Ion Caramitru, then the excitement and joy of magic become all the greater, to the horizon of the miracle that can approach all those who feel its call and vibration.

Such a curtain opens the show The Magic of Music at NTB on June 19th, 2021 at 7.00 pm, to those who are expected to take their seats in the Grand Hall of the National Theatre, and open their hearts to the musical chords that come from history, from Grigoraș Dinicu, Django Reinhardt or Paganini and to which the artist Emy Drăgoi and his orchestra have proven not once that they know how to give them unparalleled interpretative valences, but also from the present composer Eugen Doga, who is recognised by a special UNESCO decision as the author of one of the four musical masterpieces of the 20th century.

After a long period of restrictions and estrangement, The Magic of Music at NTB is more than a show about getting closer to music, trying to soothe the artists' longing for the stage and the audience they respect, but also the audience's longing for the artists they love. And where music resonates and love is felt, everything becomes magic!
