Important announcement regarding the performances at the NTB Amphitheatre!
Being an outdoor space, in case of rain, the following rule shall apply:
- if the rain starts before the performance time and the set-up time allows it, the performance will be moved to one of the theatre halls. If this is not possible, either the performance will be rescheduled and tickets will remain valid, or a refund will be issued.
- if rain starts during the performance, the performance is suspended and cannot be rescheduled nor the ticket price refunded.

If you get the chance to see The Mono Jacks live, you'll immediately understand why they're a very special band. Whether you discover them in an intimate club or on the stage of a big festival (such as Sziget, Exit Festival, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Electric Castle, Rocanotherworld, ARTMania, TIFF), the incredible chemistry between the band members and their captivating energy will make you want to see them again and again. The Mono Jacks formed in 2008, founded by Doru Trascau - the soul of this project, a charismatic lead singer also known as the voice and face of the grunge band AB4 (which dominated the Romanian rock scene in the 2000s and won the MTV European Music Awards in 2003). Over the years, the band has gone through all possible phases- from line-up changes, to breaks and splits, to spectacular retreats and comebacks, releasing memorable tracks like “Tablou”, ‘Drumul’, or “Un Sfert De Secunda” in all the while. 2017 marked an important moment in the band's evolution, as The Mono Jacks released the album “Slightly Distorted” in a new and energetic formula. The new line-up quickly won over fans with the hit ‘1000 DA’, opening a new chapter for the band. The Mono Jacks continued to surprise, releasing two more studio albums - “Gloria” in 2020 and the most recent, “The New Cloud”, in 2023 - setting new records, such as selling 400 tickets in less than two minutes or performing in front of 50,000 people at the Bucharest iMapp - an emotional moment that left them in tears of joy. From sold out clubs in record time to concerts in some of the biggest venues in the country (Arenele Romane, Sala Palatului), and touring with a full orchestra, The Mono Jacks remain a reference name for the alternative rock scene in Romania, and their music a collection of authentic stories, sung with unmistakable passion.

Return to the Roots: Marius Mihalache & Band, guest Adrian Naidin 16 May 2026

Event presented in partnership with the National Theater in Bucharest The concept of the concert aims to bring to the fore the music that is part of our DNA and that envelops the collective consciousness of Romanians. It is the music we were born with and from which we began to build our values. In this project, I want to invite artists who have created around Romanian identity, regardless of the musical fusions they have adopted in their careers. A show about roots, freedom, and the magic of sound. “Return to the Roots” it is not just a concert, but a sensory experience about rediscovery. The dialogue between Marius Mihalache's cimbalom and Adrian Naidin's cello promises to break down the barriers between musical genres, taking the audience from the emotion of authentic folklore to the freedom of jazz and the power of classical music. Given the exclusive nature of the event, the organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Children under 6 accompanied by their parents have free access if they occupy the same seat as their parent. Not recommended for children under 5 years of age. On April 20, we present a showcase of dance excellence at the “I.L. Caragiale” National Theater Stars Gala is a unique cultural event in Romania that brings together top professional ballet dancers and talented young dancers from Romania and abroad on the same stage and in the same choreography, thus providing a platform for promoting and launching new generations of dancers. Special guests and exceptional moments of classical and contemporary dance. The show will feature various choreographic segments, ranging from famous classical ballet duets to original contemporary dance pieces. The spectacular, carefully selected costumes, well-staged choreography, set design, and lighting will make Stars Gala by Revolve Dance an unforgettable experience! Constantine Allen and Riho Sakamoto, lead dancers with the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam enthusiastically accepted the invitation to participate in the Stars Gala! Yana Peneva and Alexei Orohovsky from the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, a young artist who has garnered international acclaim and won numerous prestigious awards, will take the stage in Bucharest. Rebecca Rudolf and Alfie Pearce (Bucharest National Opera), who will perform the premiere of the duet "Diana & Acteon" alongside a group of young ballerinas. Horia Bucur and Gabriela Durleci will take us into the realm of neoclassical music through the emotional duets of Tango. Radio & Juliet. Andrea Tarus and Catalin Bucuresteanu will dance a pas de deux from the classical ballet Sleeping Beauty. Eduardo Comello, a dancer with the Bucharest National Opera, he’ll shake things up with contemporary dance numbers, just as you’d expect from a passionate Italian. The performance will also feature many other talented young artists from around the world, whom we will announce shortly! The event will last approximately 2 hours, including an intermission, and will consist of two main parts On one of Romania’s most prestigious stages, the new wave of international talent will showcase displays of virtuosity and elegance. As always, the audience will witness a world-class performance created by some of the most gifted young dancers!
