The Tempest at Beijing - June 22, 23, 24
At the invitation of the Beijing People`s Art Theatre from China, the ”I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre shall soon participate in the International Theatre Festival organized between 22 June - 8 July 2018 by the theatre of China’s capital. Taking into account the festival’s profiles and the coordinates of the Beijing hall (Capital Hall with over 900 seats), the ”I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre shall participate in the festival with one of the most representative shows from its current repertoire, The Tempest by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexander Morfov, multi-awarded show, which already reaped a few significant international triumphs. The Tempest shall have 3 representations in Beijing, on the days of 22, 23 and 24 June 2018.
This major tour represents a significant endeavour of Romanian cultural diplomacy, contributing to the tightening and deepening of relations with one of the largest countries in the world, paving the way for the continuation of an active dialogue in this field.
The tour is facilitated by the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute and Allianz Tiriac Insurance, which covers a part of the costs.
