The Romanian Theatre Festival returns, after 6 years, to Bucharest. We are happy to announce that the 29th edition of the UNITER Awards Gala will take place on Monday, July 19th, 2021, at 9 pm at the “IL Caragiale” National Theatreof Bucharest, Grand Hall.
The jury made up of Puiu Antemir (set designer), Alina Epîngeac (theatre critic), Eugen Jebeleanu (director), Dorina Lazăr (actress) and Octavian Saiu (theatre critic) watched in digital format (online, DVD) the nominated shows and will decide the winners competing for the UNITER trophy.
On July 19th we will find out together, live, who are the best artists of 2020.

Award for lifelong achievement actor: Marcel Iureș
Award for lifelong achievement director: Alexandru Darie (post-mortem)
Award for lifelong achievement scenography: Geta Medinschi

Nominations for the awards of the UNITER 2021 Gala
For the XXIX edition of the UNITER Awards Gala, the jury of nominations was made up of theatre critics Oana Cristea Grigorescu, Claudiu Groza and Cristina Rusiecki.
The performances that came to the jury's attention were those that premiered between January 1st and December 31st, 2020.
