Between September 3rd and September 7th 2022, the performances in the official competition of the second edition of the "Șerban Ionescu" Theatre and Film Festival will be performed at the Sala Mică of the "I.L. Caragiale" National Theatre in Bucharest, as part of the young theatre micro-season #FestivalulContinuă.

Ten years after the death of their friend, Ted, Danny and Charlotte reunite and try to relive the happy times of their teenage years. But when the image of that perfect past, which has held them captive until now, fades, they are left with the reality of a misspent youth. Over the course of 24 hours, the three are brought face to face with the decisions they need to make in order for their lives to change - the same decisions they make every night, but always forget the next morning. Wasted is a bittersweet journey between past, present and future, at the end of which the dizzying illusion of change is glimpsed. A story about confusion and hope, about the fear of failure and the courage to act.

"The show aims to attack the viewer. I think that's one of the main purposes of theatre: to not allow the spectator to leave the auditorium the same way they entered it. Wasted tries, through a theatricality that I would call crude, to tell us without using euphemisms that the future is lost if the present remains only a ghost of the past." Vlad Isăilă, director
