December 2, 2025, marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Nicolae Labis, one of our greatest poets. We believe that a poetic-musical performance would be welcome, bringing this exceptional poetic creation back into the spotlight.

The argument is the way he was perceived in the history of literature.

The child prodigy of 20th-century poetry, Nicolae Labis was related to Ion Creanga and revered by Nichita Stanescu. He was part of the sixth generation of Romanian poetry, alongside poets such as Ioan Alexandru, D.R. Popescu, Vintila Horia, and Mircea Ciobanu. This generation emerged in the 1950s and was marked by linguistic experimentation, the influence of socialist realism, and themes related to the socio-political reality of the time.
