21 voices of the National recite Eminescu’s Morning Star
On the day of commemoration of Mihai Eminescu, Monday, June 15th, 2020, we invite you to watch online for the first time at NTB online the poem Morning Star, in an original version of 18 minutes, performed by 21 prominent actors of the National - starting with 10.00.
In the order of their appearance, they are the actors: Richard Bovnoczki , Ovidiu Cuncea, Silviu Biriș, Brîndșa Mircea, Lari Giorgescu, Tomi Cristin, Amalia Ciolan, Liliana Hodorogea, Mihai Calotă, Eduard Adam, Ada Galeș, Fulvia Folosea, Aylin Cadîr, Răzvan Popa, Magda Catone, Ioan Andrei Ionescu, Axel Mustache, Monica Davidescu, Irina Movilă, Răzvan Oprea, Mihai Munteniță.
Created during the Coronavirus pandemic, in April - when the actors of the IL Caragiale National Theatre agreed to stay at home during the holidays, to be able to perform during this summer, when - we all hope - it will be possible to resume the activity of theatres, the project of the collective recital with the poem Morning Star by Eminescu was launched and created by the actor Axel Mustache.
In the idea of a joint artistic product, which would bring together as many colleagues from the troupe, to offer something unique to the audience, Axel managed to mobilize these colleagues to whom he distributed verses from Eminescu’s poem, drawn by lot, taking into account that the Morning Star and Cătălin would be impersonated by actors, and Cătălina by actresses. The Storytellers and the Creator have a mixed cast. Everything was filmed with the phone, in the actors' houses, some of them being at the first experience of this kind! An intense work followed, aiming to transform the recorded material into a cinematic product (edited by Cornel Ionescu), and what you will see is the phase that was reached after no less than five versions! Finally, the composer Călin Țopa created the original score for the background.
A premiere in the true sense of the word! The recital will be broadcast on Monday, starting with 10.00 a.m.
