Caramitru-Mălăele, Spinning a Yarn
The two legends of the Romanian theatre embark on a national tour with the show Caramitru-Mălăele, Spinning a Yarn, a fascinating dialogue on poetry, fables, jokes, tales and memories.
Always impressive, innovative and unique, the show "Caramitru-Mălăele, Spinning a Yarn", is an improvisation show..."because improvisation comes naturally to an actor", as Horaţiu Mălăele said. The show constantly reinvents itself, it has a whole new rhythm , the humour becomes more entertaining and the creativity blossoms. The remembrance of the past times is brought on stage by Caramitru, who recites with deep emotion and cleverly and skilfully comes up with answers that suit Horaţiu Mălăele's volcanic temper and irresistible charm as well as his sharp sense of humour, the two evoking Shakespeare, Eminescu and Topârceanu.
Their dialogue is accompanied by the cello player Adrian Naidin's warm and cheerful harmonies. Due to his unique voice and amazing skills, Adrian Naidin has always touched a deep cord in the music lovers' hearts. He sometimes performs as if an entire orchestra was playing, and at other times, he recites or whispers lyrics. The Greek director Mihalis Kakogiannis was inspired by Adrian Naidin and the Latvian musician Mischa Maisky, also known as "The Paganini of the Cello", considers Adrian to be one of his most talented students.
