Caramitru-Mălăele, Spinning the Yarn
The two legends of the Romanian theatre will be on a tour again, performing the play Spinning the Yarn, a seductive duel of poetry, fables, morals, short stories and memories. Always surprising, always different and exceptional, Spinning the Yarn is an improvisation performance... ̒̒ ̒ because improvisation represents actually the supreme state of the actor, as Horațiu Mălăele states. Every time it is performed, the play is different, the humor is livelier, and the proficiency becomes more and more obvious. The memory of old times is brought up in the scene by Caramitru, who recites thrillingly and, with intelligence and talent, imagines answers suitable for Horațiu Mălăele, volcanic, irresistible and with a sparkling humor, the two of them being witnessed by Shakespeare, Eminescu or Topârceanu.
The dialogue is completed by the gentle and colored musical replicas of cellist Adrian Naidin. With his extraordinary voice and perfect technique, Adrian Naidin has always impressed the music lovers. Sometimes, he performs as if he were a whole orchestra, and other times he paints or whispers lines of poetry. Adrian Naidin has inspired the Greek director Mihalis Kakogiannis, while the Latvian musician Mischa Maisky , also called the Paganini of the cello, considers him one of his most talented apprentices.
