National Premiere - The Hunchback of Notre-Dame An extraordinary ballet performance based on the novel "Notre-Dame de Paris" by Victor Hugo (1802-1885) French poet, playwright and novelist. The direction and choreography of the performance belong to the talented dancer and choreographer Vlad Sebastian, a name already known in many theatres in the country, Europe and the world. The musical story is the work of the famous musician Peter Venczel. It is a grandiose performance, bringing together for the first time on the same stage 3 professional ballet ensembles: The Ballet Ensemble of the Hungarian State Opera of Cluj-Napoca, the Ballet Ensemble of the Teatro D`Opera italiana and the Ballet Ensemble of the Vox Opera House, with more than 50 professional ballet dancers from Romania and from other countries, ballet soloists who dance in important theatres in Europe. The lighting and stage lights, special effects, 3D projections, effects with "heavy smoke" produced from dry ice, make The Hunchback of Notre-Dame the most complex ballet performance staged in our country in the last years! How long has it been since you've seen 50 ballet dancers on the same stage? Maybe a very long time, maybe never!!! Madrigal Choir - Extraordinary Performance "60th Madrigal Gala", conductor Anna Ungureanu The National Chamber Choir "Madrigal - Marin Constantin" presents an Extraordinary Performance "60th Madrigal Gala" at the "I.L. Caragiale" National Theatre from Bucharest (NTB) on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 7 pm. Through music and art, the famous ensemble, conducted by Anna Ungureanu, invites the audience to celebrate together 60 years of uninterrupted existence of the Madrigal Choir. Each year in February, the Madrigal Choir dedicates a musical event to the memory of Marin Constantin, the creator of the ensemble. The Extraordinary Performance "60th Madrigal Gala" is a special tribute to the huge legacy of the legendary musician and his artistic vision, woven by the Madrigal Choir during 6 decades dedicated to art, cultural representation and belief in changing Romania through music. The performance "60th Madrigal Gala" is part of the series of syncretic events developed by the Madrigal Choir in recent years, with elements of scenography, direction, design and light projections, as well as the participation of children from the choirs of the National Cantus Mundi Program. During the Gala, in addition to the "Marin Constantin" Excellence Awards, the Madrigal Choir will present several premieres, including the Extraordinary Concert "Madrigale și motete" - which will highlight one of the ensemble's emblematic repertoires in a particular setting, the launch of the new series of historical costumes, a series of musical moments and surprise artistic encounters, as well as exhibitions and presentations from the Madrigal archive, which spectators will be able to enjoy from the moment they enter the foyer of the National Theatre.   Translated by Andreea Codrea-Boeriu

After a series of concerts performed last year, extremely well received by the public, “Woman… if you hadn't existed!”, “November Love” and “Christmas Rendez-vous”, The Concordia Theatre Company, together with Temi Show, brings Aurelian Temișan back to the stage of the National Theatre of Bucharest (Sala Mare) on February 27, 2023. It is already known, all too well, that Aurelian is the artist who awakens in the present, through his music and through his reorchestrated songs, memories of the past, creating the future, and that he does it by bringing a lot of joy to the audience who sings along with him and who relives many happy moments. “… for love” will be a special musical event, grand as it is in the number of people on stage, but intimate and warm in its relationship with you, the audience. You will sing, hum and dance out of love, for love, about love! The highest quality orchestral accompaniment is provided by the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra and the Cardinal Show Orchestra. Already a symbol of Christmas, for his numerous songs dedicated to these holidays, more than 200 successful winter-themed songs, Paul Surugiu-Fuego is waiting for the audience in Bucharest, for a wonderful concert of Christmas carols, on December 26, 2022, at the National Theatre in Bucharest, starting at 19.00, together with his band made up of special musicians, with a special, heartfelt performance, full of emotions and nostalgia - "Stay with me for Christmas!" In his characteristic style, Paul Surugiu offers the audience a whole series of experiences, surprises, moments full of humor but also of remembrance. Two hours of live concert, with premieres, but also with songs familiar to the public, all in the atmosphere of the winter holidays, foreshadowing the coming of Christmas. The audience will be moved by themes about our parents, about coming home, but also by traditional carols, special sounds and orchestrations. The performance is all about the joy that comes over us all as Christmas approaches, knowing that there would be great joy in the world if Christmas were every day! Songs such as ”Vals de Crăciun” (Christmas Waltz), ”Colindă pentru părinți” (A Carol for my Parents), ”Atâta-i colinda” (This is the Carol), ”La mulți ani, e noaptea de Crăciun” (Joy to All, it’s Christmas), ”E vremea colindelor” (Time for Christmas Carols) or the famous ”Împodobește, mamă, bradul” (Let’s Decorate the Christmas Tree, Dear Mother) will resound on the NTB stage, in a concert based on interpretation, on the soul, on recitations and touching lyrics and a very good mood. Ștefan Hrușcă features a national Christmas carols tour after 3 years of absence After a 3-year break, Romanian winter songs and traditional Christmas carols will once again reach the heart of the audience through the unmistakable voice of Ștefan Hrușcă. With his warm style and enveloping vocal timbre, the singer-songwriter who was born in Maramureș will perform „Florile dalbe”, „Steaua”, „Trei păstori”, „Afară ninge liniștit”, „Linu-i lin” and many other songs without which the winter holidays would not be complete. There will also be songs from the Cenaclul Flacăra, including the incredible „Rugă pentru părinți” with lyrics by Adrian Păunescu. Always sung with the same sensitivity, the Christmas carols collected and brought to us as a gift by Ștefan Hrușcă retain their authenticity. So, welcome these carols and enjoy a concert that honors this Romanian tradition in its most sincere and pure form. Ștefan Hrușcă was born on December 8, 1957 in Ieud, Maramureș, and is one of the most appreciated Romanian folk singers. He made his debut in 1981 at Cenaclul Flacăra, where he appeared in over 1000 performances, but he has definitely conquered the public with his superb Christmas carols that he interprets like no other.
