For the National Centre of Dance, February is the last month spent in the place that made it famous. Beginning with March, the CNDB will perform at The Black Box of the National Theatre of Bucharest. On Tuesday, 1 March, the audience will have the opportunity to see one of the CNDB's most beloved performances: OuiBaDa - created by the lauded choreographer Gigi Căciuleanu. OuiBaDa, even more than ballet, is a piece of choreographed theatre. The style imagined by Gigi Căciuleanu was developed in France, where he served as the artistic director of one of the top National Choreography Centres, that in Rennes. It is a type of dance that he continues to currently expand upon in Santiago, as choreographer for the Chilean National Ballet, but also as an artist that has been invited to Brazil, Romania, Uruguay, Italy, Israel, Japan, etc. More details here 

The Romanian-Indian Cultural Association in collaboration with the National Theatre and the Embassy of India invite you to celebrate the great Indian poet, 150 years since his birth. Under the title Tribute to Tagore - Shraddhanjali the foyer of the Great Hall of the National Theatre will host a short honoring show performed by a group of dancers called Natyanova (India) * on Tuesday, February 22nd, starting 12.00 o'clock. The ruin and annihilation of the middle class in Romania led not only to the disappearance of an entire world from the collective memory, with its good and bad, but also to a rupture between generations and a fracture of an entire system of values with effects that still reverberate in the reconstruction the local middle class.

Sunday, the 30th of January, 11 pm, at the Hall Studio of the National Theatre, Andrei Şerban will hold a conference named About Chekhov or Who else wants to go to Moscow?. The tickets were put up for sale at the price of 23 and 10 lei. Or we design everything in the past, intent upon an idealistic image, sweetened, sentimentalist, of what we once were – a different way of escaping the present and the fear of seeing ourselves just as we are. “To Moscow, to Moscow…” repeat the three sisters obsessively, life would be perfect there…
