"I was afraid that the Revolution is not a subject for a female director, I did not think that the documentary would find its place in a theatre as mainstream as the NTB, but I was waiting for the moment to come when I will see women nominated at UNITER for best direction and best show. It is a fantastic moment and I am glad I am living it. I applaud the entire team of the show "Romanian Diary. 1989", stated candidly director Carmen Lidia Vidu, immediately after receiving the news of her nomination. "
On this occasion, we remind you that the show Romanian Diary. 1989 premiered in the middle of the pandemic, more precisely last summer, on June 24th at the NTB Amphitheatre. The show thus enjoyed a huge projection, the largest video projection of a theatre show in our country, on the roof of the Grand Hall, with a stretch of 20/30 meters, and in December 2020, starting from this show, Carmen Lidia Vidu created a documentary film broadcast on several television stations. The documentary is a cultural hybrid adapted to the social context, made of elements of film, theatre, television set, video mapping, aerial filming.
