A concert-performance produced by the “Ion Sava” Center for Theater Research and Creation.

The Open-Air Amphitheater. Up at the Theater, June 24 and 25, 2026, at 9:30 p.m. Caragiale: Different Yet the Same. Any other candidates? A haunting refrain, reinterpreted by Ada Milea and sung by the actors. A performance-concert inspired by A Lost Letter. A musical tale of love, self-interest, politics, and blackmail. Not to be missed, citizens!

The genius of the great Caragiale meets Ada Milea’s playful inventiveness and the TNB troupe’s zest for fun, and the result is an effervescent, comic, and cynical performance-concert about us in Caragiale’s world.

A fully sung adaptation of Mr. Caragiale’s Letter, a concert in which three tipsy citizens guide the characters and the audience through the events of the famous text. They also play instruments. Those three actors once enchanted me with their performance in the show ActOrchestra, and ever since then, I’ve had an idea about them. That idea was just waiting for the right opportunity, the text, and the songs. For about 12 or 13 years. I brought the songs I’d written for The Letter from Cluj as material for our performance, along with the joy of creating a new Letter in concert. – Ada Milea
