In this version, adapted by worldrenowned artists - Peter Brooke, Jean-Claude Carriére and Marius Constant - theNTB-NOB coproduction with the support of UNITER - brings a new perspective on aclassical play, an original combination of two arts: theatre and opera. PeterBrooke and Marius Constant have almost managed the impossible. They haverestructured and discovered the hidden virtues of a masterpiece. We may call The Tragedy of Carmen ahybrid, but a brilliant one.
