Master of the comedy of manners, Molière presents us with an enduring satire of human flaws: hypocrisy, naivety and wickedness. Tartuffe, a masterpiece of this genre, brings to the stage the type of individual who is determined to climb up the social ladder by any means necessary. Thus, he gains access to Orgon's house, wins him and his mother over and disturbs all of the family's plans. But as soon as he achieves his goal he drops his mask of obedience and humility, revealing his true nature, that of an unscrupulous tyrant.

This production, while fairly straightforward, holds extraordinary potential for the actors. It brings to life the story of Tartuffe, the impostor, in a fast-paced rhythm, combining music, movement and comic situations to elicit the audience's roars of laughter.
