The Cherry Orchard, symbol of an ever-changing world, is today, as it was before, a play about a fading era, soon to be replaced by a new one. A surprisingly modern performance projected onto an unwonted, unconventional orchard and devised as a dialogue of contraries, where comedy and tragedy are interwoven, and so are the rhythms of the soul. The Cherry Orchard defies Time. 150 years after its author's birth, the play still retains unaltered its actuality and force.
