"We live in a horrible world. People, most of them, do everything that is good, everything that is right and legal. And guess what? The world remains horrible," says one of the characters in the play.
A simple gesture, a banal reflex, becomes a political gesture and the whole society catches fire. Both a political play and a love story, written in the style of a detective novel, "Of People, Doctors, and Rhinoceroses" speaks lucidly and humorously about the hypocrisy of today's world. A world in which people claim to fight in the name of principles and values, in the name of political ideologies and religious beliefs, in the name of truth and in the name of humanity. In reality, these are all pretexts. People fight only for their own interests. Why? The answer is simple: people are people.
