The performance brings before the audience a story that is as simple as it is funny: Lomov (Radu Catana), emotional and hypochondriac, makes up his mind and comes to propose to his beautiful and temperamental neighbor, Natalia Stepanovna (Oana Burcescu).

Together with his mother, Anna Pavlovna (Gratiela Popa), they form a team that manages to take the young groom from ecstasy to agony.

Whether or not Natalia accepts the proposal that is made to her, you probably know, and if you don't you will find out. What you certainly don't know (because Chekhov didn't tell us) is what happens after all this.

Is Natasha getting married or not? Let's see together if Natalia is really getting married, if Lomov is a man with the personality she wants, if her mother can breathe a sigh of relief after such a hectic day and if the late Stepan Stepanovich will have a son-in-law like he wanted!
