"Men at 40, Women at 43" - the most successful production of the Metronom Theater, has been playing to sold-out audiences for four years.

It is a performance about the crisis that almost all couples go through at least once in their lives. While it is well known that men experience a "midlife crisis" at 40, the same is still debated for women. At 30, 35, or 43.

Giving up college for your husband's career and then finding out he is cheating on you, hitting the 40 crisis with a million euros in your account, or being abandoned because you are too kind-hearted are the problems faced by our characters, captured in three scenes: at 29, 40, and then 43 years old.

Octavian Strunila is "a lawyer in the biggest trials in this country," as he himself boasts, and lives every moment intensely, consuming the most expensive drinks in the company of the most beautiful women. He is a victim of the midlife crisis, he is aware of it and enjoys it to the fullest! He is a scoundrel, but he accepts it. However, life has more surprises in store for us than we can imagine, and our hero finds himself overwhelmed by a totally unexpected situation full of overflowing humor!

Andreea Mateiu, in our story, is the woman married to a successful man, full of money and with a host of mistresses. On the threshold of 40, her husband falls in love with a "23-year-old youngster" and leaves her with two children and no career. She feels like the ground is falling out from under her feet and looks for a solution to get her life back on track. With a lot of humor and self-irony, she finally manages to take control of the situation!

In "Men at 40, Women at 43", George Constantinescu is the class joker! The kind of character who, at the risk of making a fool of himself, tries every day to do something funny just to get noticed. Now, more than 10 years after graduating from high school, we find him unchanged. Just as lonely and just as funny! He hasn't found the right girl yet, but he's hopeful!
