Modern Solo Piano 2
The Bucharest National Theatre in partnership with Green Hours Club presents under the NTB Paratheatral program - Music the Modern Solo Piano 2 recital with Vassilis Tsabropoulos (Greece). The event will take place on Saturday, March 26th, 19:00 hours, at The Black Box. The tickets (single price: 50 RON) can be bought starting with the 19th of February from the NTB Ticket Agency.
The series of recitals "solo-piano" with musicians of great international value conducted under the NTB Paratheatral program, which debuted in November 2010 with the concert of the extraordinary Swiss jazz musician Nik Bärtsch, continues with the Greek pianist Vassilis Tsabropoulos's concert, another reference name of the contemporary musical universe.
On his classic piano player reputation (with studies at the National Conservatory in Athens and Onassis fellow at the Conservatory of Paris, the Salzburg Academy and the Julliard School), Tsabropoulos added in the last years an international recognition for his virtuosity in piano improvisation and composition. Since the year 2000 he is under contract with ECM Records label company.
The artist will perform a musical programme with songs from his latest album called The Promise edited by the famous ECM Records label. The Promise features 11 original musical miniatures that express a profound sensitivity and poetic feel.
Both as a performer and as a listener, I am trying to discover the beauty within the things around me, in details and shades... (Vassilis Tsabropoulos)
The opening act of the Greek guest's concert will be the short recital of a promising Romanian pianist only 13 years old, Daria Ioana Tudor.
Through this first initiative, The National Theatre wishes to offer young talented people in Romania an extra chance to be known by the Romanian public.
